Frequently asked questions

When is the ideal time for newborn photography?

Newborn sessions are best held within the first 2-3 weeks after birth, when babies are naturally sleepier and more settled. That said beautiful sessions are absolutely possible outside this window too. Every baby is different and I always work at their pace.

How long does a session last?

Newborn sessions typically last up to two hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddling and settling. Family and lifestyle sessions are usually 60-90 minutes. There is no rushing the focus is on creating a calm, enjoyable experience.

What should I wear?

I recommmend soft, natural tones such as creams, beiges, soft greys and muted pastels. Simple, timeless clothing photographs beautifully and keeps the focus on the connection rather than the clothing . Once you have booked , I am always happy to offer personalised stying advice if you’d like help choosing what to wear.
